JMC TRIVENI - CATCH MEH LOVAH - Sunita (New Song )
Jmc 3veni was founded in the year 1977, as a local East-Indian oriented band. They played full East Indian Music focusing on film songs, playback etc. Within a few years of existence, Jmc 3veni had captivated the hearts of many Indo-Trinidadians with their music.
The year 1987 was a major turning point for the band, as they, for the first time, ventured into the Soca/Calypso arena, playing on the road and being awarded 2nd best sounding band for Mas Band Rabs Immortal. It was then and there, Jmc 3veni was dubbed the premier Crossover band out of Trinidad & Tobago, becoming the band of choice for many popular Carnival Mas Bands including; Show Case, Raoul Garib, Max Awon D Midas and Associates, and for the past 11 years, 3 time Band of the Year winners Trini Revellers.
Jmc 3veni, worked diligently to promote the Music and Culture of Trinidad & Tobago internationally over the past years, travelling to North America, South America, & Europe annually. In doing so, theyve managed to attain many merits to their name, including;

3Veni has been the resident band for Trini Revellers for many years now having taken the title of Best Cross Over Band on three occasions. The bands newest front line singer Santeney Rampersad proved he has what it takes to be just that — frontline — as he belted out some of the hottest soca and chutney soca for crowds overseas. He has also mastered several of the popular remixed tunes that have been produced in India. Frontline female vocalist Sarika Mahabir continues to be an eye catcher as she has been in demand in many countries of the world for interpretation of Bollywood tunes. She has been collaborating with Papa Steve (Houston Villaroel) for several performances overseas.
According to Persad, the band still has a busy year before the Carnival Season rolls in, with Miami Carnival still to come and Thanksgiving in North America. However, he admits that he is anxious to perform before home crowds. There is no place like home and I really look forward to performing for the local fans, Persad said.
The band started playing cross over music in 1996. They delved into calypso, reggae, hip-hop and soca. They acquired their first job that year in 1997 with Carnival Mas Band Rabs Immortal.
Their efforts were recognised that year when they were awarded second best Sounding Band in downtown Carnival, Por-of-Spain. In 2002, for the first time in history, an East Indian Band JMC 3Veni took this prestigious title.
The band has played music for renowned singers at concerts such as Rikki Jai, Super Blue, David Rudder, Denise Plummer, the Mighty Sparrow, the late Sundar Popo, late Kitchener including international singers Kumar Sanu, Kanchan (deceased) and Babla. Every year, the band hosts live Fathers Day and Mothers Day Concerts in New York and Toronto.
The bands popularity has grown tremendously over the years as d band of choice for many popular Carnival Mas Bands such as Show Case, Raoul Garib, Max Awon DMidas and Associates etc.
It was in 1993 that Persad took over leadership of the band. Having realised their vision in the local arena as one of the top performing musical bands, Persad sought rapidly to build the recognition and popularity of the band in the regional and international market.
In 1998, the band won a Lifetime Achievement Award for the Best Album in Toronto. It continues to produce the best CD combination of cross over music.
Twenty-five years later, JMC 3Veni has indeed established itself as one of the premier bands specialising in East Indian Music and cross over music locally, regionally and internationally. JMC 3Veni has proven to be a trendsetter in the music industry, constantly reinventing itself, setting the standard, expanding and widening its vision by taking local music and performing globally.

Rikki Jai is ah Trinidadian chutney-soca artiste born Samraj Jaimungal in Friendship Village, San Fernando.
The prince of soca chutney, his highness Rikki Jai. Samraj "Rikki" Jai is the most successful crossover entertainer in the world. He has won the Carib Soca Chutney Monarch competition too many times to count, and has been the first Indian performer to make his mark on the soca charts with many different hit tunes. Most recently, he's known for his super hit throughout the soca and chutney universe for his song, Mor Tor. Mor Tor was almost a road march contender for the 2004 carnival season and was so popular that superstar Machel Montano also teamed up with his highness to remix the song.
Rikki Jai is also known for his past super chart topers like Scorpion, Dulahin, de River Lime and the song he broke into the scene with, Sumintra. Rikki Jai is unlike all other artists as he was the first to brake down the barrier, and allow space for 'Indian" soca entertainers to be recognized on the same stage as all the other top artists, although to this day no one has been able to reach the level at which Rikki has achieved success. None the less, he's still and always will be the true Prince of Soca Chutney music.

Richard Luces ..caribbean Christmas music Steel drum, or "pan", is considered (at least in Trinidad and Tobago) to be the only real musical instrument invented in the 20th century. It has come a long way in less than a century. From the marginalized means of expression of the marginalized social classes, it has hit the mainstream. These two albums illustrate that perfectly.
Tropical Sunday by Richard Luces, a Trinidadian living in Canada, blends keyboard and pan. The selections range from Schubert to spirituals to Bony M to Soeur Sourire. The arrangements are all true to the originals, but you can hear the pan. Its sound unites the pieces, but without making them homogenous.
The works on this CD are all inspirational, though I admit that I had to stretch my imagination to see where "Every Breath You Take" fits in. (Hint: Pretend it's God singing it.)
Voices 'n Steel unites two of Trinidad and Tobago's most famous groups: a renowned choir and a celebrated steel band. The pieces are almost all classical. If you don't look at the CD first, you'd never know from accent or tone where the artists were from.
Voices 'n Steel shows the versatility of pan. The All Stars are an orchestra, not a band, and they sound like any other orchestra. An expert can make a steel drum sound like practically anything, and these are experts. As for the voices, I can't detect the Trini accent (and my in-laws are Trinidadian).
To really hear the difference between the two albums, listen to their renditions of Schubert's "Ave Maria." Luces' version can't be mistaken for anything but pan. The Trinidad All Stars' rendition doesn't sound much like traditional pan at all.
Taken together, these two albums give an excellent overview of where pan has gone in the last half-century. Its versatility is amazing.

JMC 3VENI N REMMI D- CAN'T TAKE TRINI OUTTA ME.
Considered a pioneer of crossover music both locally and internationally, JMC 3Veni, led by the talented and charismatic Veerendra Persad, is excited about its latest offering for 2008, "Can't Take Trini Outta Me." The track comes in two installations, the first depicting the yearning and nostalgia of the caribbean migration reality, the second or unplugged version, a more somber and introspective look at the same topic.
An elated Persad, speaking from his band room in San Juan, described the song as having simple yet powerful lyrics. Remmi-D is a caribbean migrant and a close friend of the band. This topic is obviously universal in its appeal, not only for Trinis, but for everyone as the world really becomes that global village. We have chosen to celebrate our identity with this song, and are happy to share it with Trini and caribbean people all over the world.
As has been the case in the latter half of the bands thirty-year existence, 3Veni has had a very successful year at home and abroad, representing crossover, soca and chutney in Europe, Miami, and also at Caribana and Labor Day festivals. The band was at the annual Carnival In Yuh Backyard, one of the largest outdoor Carnival-type events worldwide.
When asked about the bands upcoming performances for the 2008 season and Carnival on the road with top-tier Trini Revellers mas band, Persads face lit up, There is no place like home. We always look forward to performing for the local fans. They have been good to us for thirty years, and were happy to give back, to quote Iwer, fete after fete after fete.
Cant Take Trini Outta Me can be heard on the caribbean programming airwaves both locally and internationally and on Internet radio.
About JMC 3Veni: JMC 3Veni has played music for renowned caribbean and diaspora singers such as Rikki Jai, Super Blue, David Rudder, Denise Plummer, the Mighty Sparrow, the late Sundar Popo, late Kitchener, international singers Kumar Sanu, and Kanchan (deceased) and Babla. Celebrating 30 years of success, JMC 3Veni has indeed established itself as one of the premier bands specializing in crossover (fusion), soca and Indo-caribbean music locally, regionally and internationally.

CAN'T TAKE TRINI OUTTA ME.
Oh oh oh Calling me home
Oh oh oh Calling me home
Verse 1
She had to leave
Dunno when shed come back again
A better life away from the strife, thats what she say
But long lonely days
Longer, lonelier nights, oh ohhhh
Bring back a thought of a happy day
On an island so far away
She want a cure to make the solitude go away
She say...
Chorus:
Yuh could take me outta Trini
But yuh cant take Trini outta me
Yuh could take me outta Trini
But yuh cant take Trini outta me
Cause I got a vibe down inside of me
Say yuh cant take Trini outta me
Yuh could take me outta Trini
But yuh cant take Trini outta me
Verse 2
On-the-job assignment
A contract lasting two years
They put him on a rig in country they call Nowhere
Confinement for so
Like piranha eating he brain (he brain)
He gone searching on the AM band
See him searching like a mad, mad man
And if yuh see the joy when he hear the soca play,
He say...
Chorus
Yuh could take me outta Trini
But yuh cant take Trini outta me
Yuh could take me outta Trini
But yuh cant take Trini outta me
Yuh could put me in a Tokyo or Sydney
Say yuh cant take Trini outta me
Yuh could take me outta Trini
But yuh cant take Trini outta me
Bridge
Thats where my heart is
Thats where my love is
Thats where my navel string bury, oh ohhhh
Thats where my mind is
Thats where my soul is
Even a blind man could open he eye and see
Chorus
Yuh could take me outta Trini
But yuh cant take Trini outta me
Yuh could take me outta Trini
But yuh cant take Trini outta me
Just give me mih soca and mih chutney
Say yuh cant take Trini outta me
Machel, Shurwayne, Traffik and 3veni
Say yuh cant take Trini outta me
Yuh could take me outta Trini
But yuh cant take Trini outta me
Yuh could take me outta Trini
But yuh cant take Trini outta me
Yuh could take me outta Trini
But yuh cant take Trini outta me
Throw me in a fete and let me be

INDOSAF MELOBUGZ - DOH LIE ON NADIA .
Catch meh lovah -reply 3
.LOL.. horn fuh horn ... ENJOY :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Melobugz Music Machine is consider as one of the most requested and best performing bands in the chutney-soca arena. With over 35 years of experience, going from strength to strength Melobugz is by all means the powerhouse in Chutney/Indian film music industry.
To date Melobugz has also achieved many mega crossover collaborations which have taken the band into the soca industry as well. Some of the artists we have done so with are: Machel Montano, Fayan Lyons, Ziggy Rankin, King David, Blaxx and Zoelah. Because of the success of our recordings the band has toured North America, Holland, the caribbean and some parts of South America. Since the year 2000 Melobugz has been producing hit albums year after year consecutively.
This Dynamic and versatile Band has been in existence since 1972 and has come along way with its popularity. Within the past Thirty five (35) Years the band went through many changes. Some members migrated whilst some branched off into other bands. Except for one member Steve Mahato, who stayed through thick and thin with this orchestra. He is not only the foundation member but he is also the proud Father of the Leader of Melobugz, Rishi Mahato. Both father and son play the keyboards.
The members of the band are:
Rishi Mahato - Band Leader & Lead Keyboardist
Steve Mahato - Keyboardist
Selwyn Buckmire - Drummer
Felix Lezama - Bass man
Ringo Maharaj - Guitarist
Ras Nancoo - Vocalist
Rishi Ramkissoon - Vocalist
Brent Evelyn - Vocalist
Rooplal G. - Vocalist
Navita Mahato - Vocalist
Artie Butkoon - Vocalist
Rishi Mahato has made a revolutionary change with this band since 1998 until presently. His youthful talent and musical abilities carried the band to its climaxing stages. He created a new and dynamic sensation with his style of music, which aroused the youths and the elders, not just locally in Trinidad & Tobago but internationally as well.
The other musicians are Felix Lezama, the Bass Guitarist. Felix always has a very cute and radiant smile on stage. He's quite an entertainer, he's also a singer. The drummer is Selwyn Buckmire also known as "Bucky". He is self taught and played for a lot of known bands like Xtatic, Secong Imij and Square One before he joined Melobugz. He's very versatile and has made a name for himself internationally as well. On the guitar we have Ringo Maharaj. This gentleman is extremely talented and humble about it. He is often heard and seldom seen, (except on stage).
One of the lead singers is Ras Nancoo Singh who needs no introduction to the Indian film market. Ras is a living legend and does imitation of Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi and other well known playback singers. He's a very versatile performer. Another male front liner is Rishi Ramkissoon. Singing for almost a decade he has been blessed with a versatile voice and tickling sense of humor. If he is not entertaining you with his singing he will have you laughing. You can never tell what he'll be up to next. Then there's Brenti. Brenti is an extremely talented, selfless and quiet person. Dwelling in Point Fortin he has the skill of always capturing the crowd with his voice. He also performed with several top soca bands, one of which was Invasion. We then have Rooplal G. the five time chutney soca monarch champ. He who has always been known for singing solo has decided to join a band and figured who else but Melobugz, since he and Rishi Mahato always had a good working relationship. His haunting voice always captivates the crowd and leaves them wanting more. Then there are the ladies. Artie Butkoon has been singing since she was twelve. She started off in temple groups and at the age of fifteen she advanced into band singing. This petit lady has a large voice and stunning body. She never fails to please and is extremely down to earth. Next there's Navita, or as we call lovingly call her Navi. She is the sister of Rishi Mahato. Navi is often quiet but once she steps up she shows her vivaciousness.
Melobugz is one of the most experienced bands in the industry and has only gotten better with time. They are always updating their technology and seem to always be setting a trend with their music.

A year later she was a grand finalist in Mastana Bahar where she was placed 6th. She was later awarded The Contribution to Youth Excellence by Jamal Mohammed for Children of Mastana. She was then given the task amongst other top local young artistes to judge for the competition. This was done for two years.
She went on to successfully complete her studies at her High School with distinctions in English Language subjects. She continued her education upliftment by assigning herself to a number of studies, mainly computer literacy. She worked at the Republic Bank of Trinidad and Toabgo and at present she is currently pursueing her dream as a radio broadcaster and is a trainee at Radio 90.1 FM.
Nisha does a variety of songs, ranging from Indian to English Soca to Reggae and even a little bit of Rock. She says she loves versatility but with it comes sincere devotion and sometimes even hard work.
