Chaudvin Ka chand - 1960 film Chaudhvin Ka chand. Singer: Mohammed Rafi. Lyrics by Shakeel Badayuni. Music by Ravi. Stars: Waheeda Rehman, Guru Dutt, Rehman, Johnny Walker, Minoo Mumtaz, Farida Jalal (film debut). Dialogues by Saghir Usmani. Dialogue-director: Tabish Sultanpuri. Director: Mohammed Sadiq, showing Muslim and Urdu language culture in Lucknow set 1900s.
Mohammed Rafi won the Filmfare Best Male Playback Award for singing the title track (this song), and Shakeel Badayuni won the Filmfare Best Lyricist Award for wiriting the the title track "Chaudvin Ka chand". Urdu poetry and lyrics come, by and large, from the sweet Persian or Farsi language. Over a period of some 1,000 years, Mughals played a significant role in the development of Urdu poetry, lyrics, music, food, culture in Indian-Pakistan subcontinent and the neighbouring regions where almost two billion people understand the language. The poetic songs we see and hear in the Bollywood films would be nothing with out the Farsi or Persian influence. There would be no film songs or ghazals, singers or even screenplays and superstars without lyricists and writers. Why not give full due credit to the poor lyricists first, and also to the comparatively super-rich music composers, producers and directors? The legendary singer Mohammed Rafi (1924-1980) still continues to entertain millions around the world. Surely, he justly and rightly deserves more honours for his selfless contributions to the Bollywood film and entertainment industry that only gave him a handful of awards. There will never be anyone like Mohammed Rafi. His skills were just out of this world. Under-rated, under-paid Mohammed Rafi was honoured with the "best singer of the millennium" by Hero Honda and Stardust magazine in Mumbai on 07 January 2001, over twenty years after Rafi passed away in July 1980. "It was Mohammed Rafi sahib's humility which made him such a great singer. This is evident in his songs which he sang from the heart. He thought of the music, and doing a good job. He did not think of the money or furthering his career. His personality and attitude showed in his voice which was like divine nectar. God created him to sing...," according to Shakil. Lyrics translated in English:
You are the moon on its fourteenth night, or are you the sun,
Whatever you are, I swear to God, you are incomparable,
Your hair brushes your shoulders like the clouds floating above,
And your eyes are intoxicating like an overflowing glass of wine...

"Chaudhvin Ka chand" (Urdu: چودھویص کا چاند) is a 1960 Hindi feature film directed by Mohammed Sadiq. A production of Guru Dutt, the film centers on a love triangle between Guru Dutt, Rehman and Waheeda Rehman, and features music by Ravi. Farida Jalal is a guest appearance in the film, her debut. Lyrics by Shakeel Badayuni.
After a disastrous box-office performance of Kaagaz Ke Phool, this was a highly commercially successful and comeback movie for Guru Dutt. The movie saved Guru Dutt's home production studio from ruins. According the interview by V.K. Murthy the movie made profits of then what a 100 movies were to have made. Everyone were sure of the movie's success, however not to the levels movie grossed.
Though not directed by Guru Dutt, the movie has an unmistakable stamp of the maestro! Some of the songs have been immortalized by beautiful lyrics, music and cinematography and are as popular today as they were in the days this movie was released.
The director has very successfully and aptly brought the delicacy and character of early 1900s Lucknow, India. The team worked hard to each and every detail, in terms of costume, dialogs and mannerism of each character. There was never a doubt about success of this movie. Largely the credit goes to Guru Dutt who himself was known to have an eye for detail and would leave no expense left to get the best. It is rumored that color cinema was just filtering in India and Guru Dutt wanted to re-shoot the entire movie in color, however his financiers and distributors had lost patience. Guru Dutt was to compromise with the immortal title song in color! It is a treat to watch, a jewel from the treasure chest of the legend, Guru Dutt.

Dil Hi Dil Mein (2000) is a Hindi version of the Tamil movie Kadhalar Dhinam (1999), which is inspired by the Hollywood film You've got a mail (1998). Unfortunately the dubbing is of poor quality. The soft drama is by Khatir starring Sonali Bendre, Kunal Singh, Kalpana Iyer, Anupam Kher
The story revolves around love between the poor Raja (Kunal Singh) and the wealthy Roja (Sonali Bendre). A friend teaches Raja how to chat on the internet. By chance, he had contact with Roja. A romance began at the Internet Café and then at Bandra Railway Station. The both fall in love into each other. Raja finds out that Roja is the daughter of his sponsor Ram chandra and when she is engaged to be married, he denies his feelings not to lack of respect to whom he owes his livelihood...
Kunal Singh committed suicide on Feb 7, 2008. He was 31.
The music is by A.R. Rahman and the lyrics by Mehboob.
"chand Aaya Hai" is one of the best songs. It's amazingly sung by Udit Narayan and Kavita Krishnamurti .
Lyrics:
Udit:
chand aaya hai zameen pe
Aaj garbe ki raat mein
Chupa hai woh yahin kahin pe
Aaj garbe ki raat mein
[ are, dhoondo dhoondo re
Sharmaa raha hai woh
Kuch to baat hai jo aaya woh ] x2
Mauka hai yeh, kehna sun ne ka
Mauka nikal ne na do
Are, mauka hai yeh
chand aaya hai zameen pe
Aaj garbe ki raat mein
Chupa hai woh yahin kahin pe
Aaj garbe ki raat mein
Chup tumhare un labon pe bhi hai
Chup humare in labon pe bhi hai
Bolti hain ye nigahein, mere yaar
Mere yaar
Kavita:
Chup tumhare un labon pe bhi hai
Chup humare in labon pe bhi hai
Bolti hain ye nigahein, mere yaar
Mere yaar
Udit:
Oooo
Hanseen ho sanam tum
Chaand se bhi zyada
Hanseen ho sanam tum
Chaand se bhi zyada
Gaihri hain zulfein
Jaise raat koi
Kavita:
Ooo, tarifein karo na
Itni bhi zyada,
Rukein na sharam se
Ye saansein meri
Udit:
Jo dil mein hai bolon main
Bas tumko hi dekhoon main
Jeewan yoon hi bitaa doon
Ooo hooo ooo, mere yaar
Kavita:
Mere yaar
Udit:
Mere yaar
Kavita:
Mere yaar
Udit:
chand aaya hai zameen pe
Aaj garbe ki raat mein
Chupa hai woh yahin kahin pe
Aaj garbe ki raat mein
[ are, dhoondo dhoondo re
Sharmaa raha hai woh
Kuch to baat hai jo aaya woh ] x 2
Mauka hai yeh, kehna sun ne ka
Mauka nikal ne na do
Are, mauka hai yeh ...
Kavita:
Pyaar sa nahin jahan mein koi
Yaar sa nahin jahan mein koi
Dono ke bina, yahan pe jeena kya
Mere yaar
Udit:
Ooo, pyaar sa nahin jahan mein koi
Yaar sa nahin jahan mein koi
Dono ke bina, yahan pe jeena kya
Mere yaar
Kavita:
Ooooo
Udit:
Pehli nazar ne loota tha dil ko
Jaadugar salaam mera tum ko
Kavita:
Itni mohabbat, doge jo humko
Kam hi padegi zindagi humko
Udit:
Janamon ka naata hai ye
Pyaar waffa ka rishta hai ye
Toote na ye bandhan dekhooo
Mere yaar
Kavita:

Kya kya iradey hone lagey hain
[ is garbe ki raat mein ] x 2
Kasmein vaade hone lagey hain
[ Is garbe ki raat mein ] x 2
Wah re wah kya aaye hai ye raat re
Chidi hai milan ki koi baat re
[ Hum bhi to hain tum dilwalon ke hi saath mein ] x 2

*****One Of My Favorite Song*****
Fanaa (Urdu:فناء, English: Destroyed in love) is a Bollywood thriller-romance movie released in 2006, starring Aamir Khan and Kajol in pivotal roles. It is directed by Kunal Kohli who previously directed Hum Tum, and is produced under Yash Raj Films. The film also stars Rishi Kapoor, Kiron Kher, Tabu, and Shruti Seth.
Fanaa released on 26 May 2006, in India. Fanaa was banned in the state of Gujarat due to protests against the lead actor Aamir Khan. Aamir Khan plays the role of a tourist guide in Delhi while Kajol plays a Kashmiri blind girl. The movie was the first to showcase Aamir Khan and Kajol's romantic pairing, even though they had acted together in Ishq in 1998. Many critics opined that the movie works largely due to the chemistry of the leads (see Reception below).
Rishi Kapoor and Kiron Kher play the role of Kajol's parents. The film marked the comeback of Kajol, who was last seen in Karan Johar's film, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
