Sachcha hai gar pyar mera sanam - 1968 film Jhuk Gaya Aasman. Singer: Mohammed rafi. Lyrics by Hasrat Jaipuri. Music by Shankar-Jaikishan. Stars: Rajendra Kumar, Saira Banu. Screenplay by Omkar Sahib. Dialogues by Prayag Raj. Director: by Lekh Tandon. The film is a copy of the 1941 Hollywood film "Here Comes Mr Jordan". The legendary singer Mohammed rafi (1924-1980) still continues to entertain millions around the world. Surely, he justly and rightly deserves more honours for his selfless contributions to the Bollywood film and entertainment industry. Under-rated, under-paid Mohammed rafi was honoured with the "best singer of the millennium" by Hero Honda and Stardust magazine in Mumbai on 07 January 2001, over twenty years after rafi passed away in July 1980. There would be no film songs or ghazals, singers or even screenplays and superstars without lyricists and writers. Why not give full due credit to the poor lyricists first, and also to the comparatively super-rich music composers, producers and directors? Rajshri video.

Lyrics:
--MALE--
(Kya hua tera waada
Woh kasam, woh iraada) - 2
Bhoolega dil jis din tumhe
Woh din zindagi ka aakhri din hoga
Kya hua tera waada
Woh kasam, woh iraada
--FEMALE--
Bhoolega dil jis din tumhe
Woh din zindagi ka aakhri din hoga
Kya hua tera waada
--MALE--
Yaad hai mujhko, tune kaha tha
Tumse nahin roothenge kabhi
Dil ki tarah se haath mile hain
Kaise bhala chhootenge kabhi
Teri baahon mein beeti har shyaam
Bewafa yeh bhi kya yaad nahin
Kya hua tera waada
Woh kasam, woh iraada
Bhoolega dil jis din tumhe
Woh din zindagi ka aakhri din hoga
Kya hua tera waada
Woh kasam, woh iraada
Oh kehne waale mujhko farebi
Kaun farebi hai yeh bata
Woh jisne gham liya pyaar ki khaatir
Ya jisne pyaar ko bech diya
Nasha daulat ka aisa bhi kya
Ke tujhe kuch bhi yaad nahin
Kya hua tera waada
Woh kasam, woh iraada
Bhoolega dil jis din tumhe
Woh din zindagi ka aakhri din hoga
Kya hua tera waada
Woh kasam..

Chal uR ja ray Panchhi
was sung by rafi Sahab
for Film Bhabhi.
A few days ago someone said to me that great singers never sing cover versions of other singers so i shudnt upload version songs. It was then i looked for version songs sung by Big singers and i was surprised to note big guns there viz. I uploaded Ghulam Ali's Version yesterday and today am presenting a rare version song sung by none other than the first Ghazal King of Indo-Pak Talat Mahmood and the original song of Film Bhabhi was sung by another Alltime Great Singer Muhammad rafi :)
Leme quote you a brief history of this rare recording in the words of Khalid Mahmood (Son of Talat Mahmood and a good singer himself) He narrates, "During 50's HMV wanted to copy the West (where one hit English song was sung by many singers) and create VERSION RECORDINGS of popular Hindi songs. Since Talat Mahmood was the most popular singer in those days they persuaded him to do the first recording 'Chal ud ja re panchi' which Mohd rafi had sung for film 'BHABHI'. Similarly, HMV wanted rafi to sing a Mukesh hit and Hemant Kumar to record a Talat hit. But this idea of singing other singers songs was not going down very well with the singers and they got together to finally decide against going ahead with this VERSION RECORDINGS idea of HMV. Seeing the singers opposition, HMV decided to drop this idea of VERSION RECORDINGS entirely after that. But by this time 'Chal ud ja re panchi' sung by Talat was already in the market, releasing as 'Version Recording FT21027 Twin/Black Label 78 RPM'. That is how one can hear the 'BHABHI' film song "Chal udja re panchi" in the voices of both singers - Mohd rafi (from the film) and Talat Mahmood (from the version recorded by HMV) !!!"
I dun have much time for net else i wanna comment on the importance and various purposes of cover versions. May be on my next cover song upload I'll be able to say something about it. Enjoy the Song plz
Regards
Dr.Bukhari

Chaudvin Ka Chand - 1960 film Chaudhvin Ka Chand. Singer: Mohammed rafi. Lyrics by Shakeel Badayuni. Music by Ravi. Stars: Waheeda Rehman, Guru Dutt, Rehman, Johnny Walker, Minoo Mumtaz, Farida Jalal (film debut). Dialogues by Saghir Usmani. Dialogue-director: Tabish Sultanpuri. Director: Mohammed Sadiq, showing Muslim and Urdu language culture in Lucknow set 1900s.
Mohammed rafi won the Filmfare Best Male Playback Award for singing the title track (this song), and Shakeel Badayuni won the Filmfare Best Lyricist Award for wiriting the the title track "Chaudvin Ka Chand". Urdu poetry and lyrics come, by and large, from the sweet Persian or Farsi language. Over a period of some 1,000 years, Mughals played a significant role in the development of Urdu poetry, lyrics, music, food, culture in Indian-Pakistan subcontinent and the neighbouring regions where almost two billion people understand the language. The poetic songs we see and hear in the Bollywood films would be nothing with out the Farsi or Persian influence. There would be no film songs or ghazals, singers or even screenplays and superstars without lyricists and writers. Why not give full due credit to the poor lyricists first, and also to the comparatively super-rich music composers, producers and directors? The legendary singer Mohammed rafi (1924-1980) still continues to entertain millions around the world. You are the moon on its fourteenth night, or are you the sun,
Whatever you are, I swear to God, you are incomparable,

"Ram Aur Shyam" is a 1967 Indian Hindi feature film, directed by Tapi Chanakya. Its producer B. Nagi Reddy previously produced Ramudu Bheemudu, a Telugu film starring N.T. Rama Rao, in 1964; Ram Aur Shyam is Nagi Reddi's Hindi version.
Ram Aur Shyam has music by Naushad and lyrics by Shakeel Badayuni, it stars Dilip Kumar (in his first dual role), Pran, Waheeda Rehman, and Mumtaz.
The theme owes its origins to Alexandre Dumas, père's story The Corsican Brothers: Twins separated at birth who grow up with very different temperaments and then exchange places, leading to the villain being taught a lesson.
Like The Corsican Brothers, which has been adapted into several feature films, Ram Aur Shyam has inspired remakes in Hindi movies too, with Seeta Aur Geeta (featuring female twins, played by Hema Malini) in 1972; Chaalbaaz (starring Sridevi) in 1989; and Kishen Kanhaiya (starring Anil Kapoor) in 1990.............
